So it happened again with the same person hijacking my blog yet another time.
This problem was no longer seeming humorous to me but now a matter more serious as he breached the security on my WordPress Blog and is showing me complete disrespect and finally I could no longer simply chose to ignore it.
Something had to be done…
So I turned to the internet to try and seek some resolve, I Google “ Blog has been hijacked” and I was quick to find out that this seems to be a ongoing problem with blogs.
So after a quick review of many online tips and suggestions I chose to do the following:
1.) Update my Word press blog to the latest version (patches all relevant vulnerabilities)
2.) Change all the access passwords to the account
3.) Change user id
4.) Email hijacker a stop and decease letter and contact the url address in the track back
5.) Notify my web hosting services
I am also going to add a Captcha to my blog to deter bots and other automated process, in leaving comments behind and from allowing this from happening again.
(In the interim I would like to hear from others who have had similar problems or from those who are currently using a Captcha filter.)
Yes I am sad to say that it has come down to this, I can’t seem to manage all the commentary and frankly I can no longer discern from genuine comments or what is just spam also it is taking too much time to weed through all the comments and I noticed that some commentary is duplicate copies, which has only made become more suspicious.
Hey folks I have a full time job and a consulting business not trying to make this my entire life as I already have time management issues with all my current projects.
So if you want to leave a comment please do so just make sure it is in English my Blog is written in English so if you do leave a comment in another language make sure you translate it for the rest of us to read.
Please not just hyper links or ramblings on about non-related products, websites or services, and finally clear and concise sentences.
Just trying to keep real sort of speak

Online reputation part ~ tre
Okay I know I mentioned that my next post was going to be on the value of the SeoQuake tool bar, but I realized that if you were really interested in SeoQuake you could head over to Youtube and watch one of the many videos and tutorials available and besides some have mentioned that my posts should be more original
So what’s more original than posting on what’s been going on with my Blog recently.
I thought I would continue the discussion to online reputation particularly Blog Commentary
So lately I have been flooded with people leaving comments good, bad indifferent so just how do you respond?
A negative comment is a negative comment how do you diffuse the bomb?
1.) You can it ignore or delete it
2.) You can respond negatively
3.) You can respond in matter in which you transfer the responsibility
Let’s explore each method and find out which one works best.
1.) Denying or ignoring negative comments is not suggested just because you deny there is a problem doesn’t mean there isn’t problem.
There are too many cases were big business has turned their head on a problem and it has all come back and bit them in the you know what.
2.) Next you can respond negatively as well, I’m sorry but this is never the right road to take you must remember to take the high road never fight fire with fire you fight fire with water. (Most of the time with this type of response you come out looking like the bad guy.)
3.) This is the best method of all so someone throws a remark like “I read that post elsewhere, can’t you find anything original to post.”
To which you may respond “Most topics may not be original, but I would like to think that maybe my perspective might be original, perhaps you might care to suggest a topic I can write about or maybe post an original topic as a guest blogger”.
If you post this on your Blog comments and replies, people can see you have nothing to hide and appreciate all types of comments and suggestions. You are truly “transparent” and that’s what the internet is all about.
